Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) forklifts are specially designed to fit into the most narrow aisles. If your warehouse is looking to maximise floor space, a VNA truck is a great option. VNA forklifts are a popular variety in the market, so our range of second hand VNA trucks includes Linde VNA trucks, Still, Jungheinrich trucks, Crown, Yale and more.
Benefits of VNA Forklifts
Unlike a conventional warehouse, the aisles in a VNA warehouse are around 1.7m wide gaining an extra 25% of storage. VNA racking can also be substantially higher, enabling around 50% more storage compared to a conventional racking system.
VNA trucks are ideal for this environment. As well as fitting easily into narrow aisles, they also take up less space in staging areas, wrapping areas and other warehouse bottlenecks.
If you're looking to make the most out of your floor space and make your warehouse as cost-effective as possible, VNA forklifts allow you to maximise your storage.
Many VNA trucks can operate on any floor surface, both inside and out. This eliminates the need for both reach and counterbalance machines, thus minimising costs.
Linde VNA Forklifts
We stock a wide range of Linde VNA trucks. Linde trucks come in three categories: man-down 'A' range, 'V' range order pickers and man up-combi 'K' range. Each of these trucks specialise in VNA environments and suit a variety of warehouse operations.
Linde's 'A' range of modular man-down trucks is designed for fast, reliable storage and retrieval of full pallets. This model can work at heights of up to 8.5 m. Linde's 'V' range of man-up order pickers are available in a range of sizes to suit 6m to 11m high aisles.
STILL VNA Forklifts
Thanks to active load stabilisation, STILL VNA forklifts are robust and reliable at any height or weight. An automatic equalising pulse from a STILL VNA truck provides a fast and effective way of stopping the vibrations from occurring at heights, reducing the waiting time at the shelf by up to 80%. The result is a significant increase in turnaround speed. Furthermore, VNA trucks from STILL are available in a range of lift loads up to 1,000kg to a height of up to 13 metres.
Jungheinrich VNA Trucks
Jungheinrich VNA trucks are both versatile, cost-effective and modular. This makes them ideal for a range of warehouses. The modular design of Jungheinrich VNA trucks makes them a powerful addition to any forklift fleet.
With individual chassis lengths and widths, mast designs, offset or split operator consoles, picking cages and trolley conversions of “combi trucks” to picking trucks, telescopic forks (double or triple) picking platforms in a wide range of configurations and special fork carriages, Jungheinrich has something for every operation.
VNA trucks offer the versatility to handle a broad range of warehouse challenges, including full pallet handling and case picking. For maximum manoeuvrability, some of our VNA trucks pivot to allow access to both stacks in an aisle without the need to reverse out.
Cost effectiveness of VNA trucks
The challenge businesses face when determining current and future fleet performance, is finding answers to a number of essential questions relating to economy and performance. Operators need to take into consideration factors such as aisle widths, picking heights and the safest and most efficient method of operating. Crucially, they need to determine how fleet selection can be configured to ensure the lowest lifecycle cost with optimised performance.
The ideal solution for high density warehouses is often choosing VNA forklift trucks. These trucks allow for more racking within the operational space and since more racking means more pick locations, a greater number of SKUs can be stored within the space.
However, additional capacity will inevitably give rise to a different forklift fleet profile, since operating hours and maintenance will be reflected in the capability of the fleet, which is why it is so important to get it right the first time when it comes to truck selection.
A VNA forklift translates into better productivity and more operational efficiency.
