Workshop Manager

The job:

PHL UK LTD, a leading forklift supplier and dealer based in Basingstoke, UK, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Workshop Manager to oversee our Forklift and MHE engineering department. As the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians of all levels and ensuring the efficient operation of our workshop.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the forklift maintenance or material handling industry, though similar industries considered.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Comprehensive understanding of mechanics and maintenance procedures, including hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and engine diagnostics.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently as part of a team.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact confidently with customers and internal departments.
Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a rapidly changing
Collaborative mindset with a willingness to work closely with colleagues across departments to achieve common goals.
Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in forklift maintenance or related field preferred, though experience is key!.
